Junior Boxing Lessons
Get fit and learn to protect yourself with boxing lessons.
Junior boxing classes teaches basic boxing skills and techniques such as stance, movement, guard, jab, cross & hook.
These techniques increase children’s strength and improves endurance. Junior boxing will include cardio, shadow boxing. Bag work, partner drills, pad work and core strengthening exercises. These skills will give children self defence tools as well as self confidence while keeping them fit. What to bring:
- Athletic wear
- Hand wraps
Note: Boxing gloves are provided, and shoes/footwear are not required as they are not permitted on the dojo floor.
Adult Boxing Classes
Adult boxing classes; get skilled, fit and learn to box like a pro.
At Shukokai we believe in teaching adults the correct technique from the beginning as this shapes a boxers long term development.
Upon arrival you will be expected to warm up, stretch and shadow box before being called up by the coach who may see further potential for you especially if you wish to compete. At the end of the class you will stretch to cool down.
What to bring:
- Boxing gloves (also provided should you not have your own)
- Hand wraps
- Appropriate attire (active wear) no shoes permitted on the dojo floor
