The Australian Shukokai Boxing Academy for Teens & Adults

Boxing Beginner Classes from Friday 20 August 2021.

Have you ever thought about giving Boxing a go, but didn’t know where to start? Do you want to learn how to defend yourself, whilst having fun and making new friends? Shukokai Boxing Academy is a Boxing club to have fun, no ego, family based environment. Our training is suitable for anyone.

We are now offering absolute beginner classes.

Here’s what you get:

  • Train with other beginners
  • Learn the fundamentals of Boxing and  how to defend your self
  • 1 Class per week available for Now. ( Friday 7-8.15pm)
  • 4 Weeks of classes and  FREE Boxing Gloves.

Junior Boxing Lessons

Get fit and learn to protect yourself with boxing lessons.

Junior boxing classes teaches basic boxing skills and techniques such as stance, movement, guard, jab, cross & hook. These techniques increase children’s strength and improves endurance. Junior boxing will include cardio, shadow boxing. Bag work, partner drills, pad work and core strengthening exercises. These skills will give children self defence tools as well as self confidence while keeping them fit. What to bring:

  • Athletic wear

  • Hand wraps

  • Water

Note: Boxing gloves are provided, and shoes/footwear are not required as they are not permitted on the dojo floor.

Adult Boxing Classes

Get skilled, fit & learn to box like a pro.

At Shukokai we believe in teaching adults the correct technique from the beginning as this shapes a boxers long term development.

Upon arrival you will be expected to warm up, stretch and shadow box before being called up by the coach who may see further potential for you especially if you wish to compete. At the end of the class you will stretch to cool down.

What to bring:

  • Water

  • Hand wraps

  • Boxing gloves (provided should you not have your own)

  • Suitable active wear (shoes aren’t permitted on dojo floor)
